First Impressions.

Hello World! This is my first post to my brand new blog. It’s always a bit intimidating because it’s like a first impression and no body wants to leave a bad first impression on the world! Tongue out 

So. With that here is a brief explanation of this blog. Ft. Lauderdale Fit, is just as it’s name suggests, a fitness blog that is dedicated to the health and well being of my community and the world.

What makes me an expert on fitness?? Well….

I am an ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer. I choose this profession because I know how hard it is to lose weight and achieve fitness goals. At one time I was considered “obese”. The breaking point was when my father was getting married, and I couldn’t find anything that would fit me. There was nothing in a size 24-26 that a 21 year old would want to wear at a formal event, much less in public. From personal experience, I know how hard it is to lose body fat, keep it off, and try to stay sane through the whole process. Physical fitness is physical and mentally demanding, but after you break those mental barriers it’s hard to go a day without exercise. As a personal trainer my aim is to educate my clients. I want you to be able to learn how to exercise effectively and to break those mental barriers that once hindered your progress. I want to help them achieve your individual goals and to maintain those goals. It’s not about being skinny (even though there’s nothing like fitting into a pair of skinny jeans), it’s about being healthy and happy.

That’s it for my first post. I hope that you will stop by often to receive tips and tricks on nutrition and fitness.
